GOR 20 conference update

The health and safety of our conference participants, speakers, sponsors and staff is of utmost importance to us and we would not want to jeopardize it by exposing them to any avoidable risk. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic still poses severe organisational uncertainties as it is unclear whether GOR 20 would be allowed to go ahead in Berlin in September. Therefore, the German Society for Online Research (DGOF) together with our local partner HTW Berlin – University for Applied Sciences has taken the decision to hold GOR 20 as a virtual conference on 10-11 September 2020 (during CET daytime).

Over the last few days we have been in touch with GOR’s presenting authors to find out whether they will be able to present their work in September. We are currently working to adapt the traditional GOR conference programme to a virtual format which will include keynotes, presentations, posters and competitions as well as virtual networking opportunities in order for you to be able to get the most out of the conference experience. The workshops planned for 9 September will unfortunately not take place. Paid workshop fees will be refunded.

An updated conference programme will be available on 15 July 2020. At that point, we will also re-open the registration for conference participation. We will also get in touch with all presenting authors with detailed information about their presentations and posters soon.

If you have any questions regarding the conference programme, please contact: programme@gor.de.

If you have any questions regarding registration or any other organisational questions, please contact the DGOF office: office@dgof.de.
